Lethal/Non-lethal Weapons Workshop ¡X Toronto, Ontario, November 24-26, 2009
This is a free and open event - Companies from all sectors (Canadian and international) and individual researchers/experts (university/college, government and other research organizations) are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Background
The Soldier Systems Technology Roadmap (TRM) will hold a key technical workshop on products and technology options to satisfy the lethal and non-lethal weapons requirements for Canada¡¦s Soldier of the Future.
This event is scheduled for November 24-26, 2009 at Toronto¡¦s Delta Chelsea Hotel (33 Gerrard Street West, Toronto, Ontario M5G 1Z4).
The workshop forms part of the Soldier Systems Technology Roadmap ¡X a unique and innovative industry-government collaboration aimed at engaging industry, academia and other research organizations at the front end of Canada¡¦s soldier modernization efforts.
This three-day workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to be briefed and to discuss state-of-the-art technologies and world-class innovative projects alongside key senior and research personnel in the fields of lethal and non-lethal weaponry.
As a multi-sectoral exercise, this event is open to private sector, university/college and government experts with strategic or technical knowledge of power and energy, non-lethal protection devices, health and safety, medical/psychological research, law enforcement, assault weaponry, personal defence weapons, ammunition, ballistics, optics, sensors, day and night sights, fire control systems, marking rounds and electrical/chemical/optical/acoustic disruption devices.
